Hello! I’m Dana Nurse, founder of Marinage. Born and raised in London with strong family roots in Trinidad & Tobago, I’ve spent the last decade teaching, tutoring, and working with learners from all walks of life - across the UK, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, and more.
With a degree in languages from the University of Manchester and a postgraduate qualification in Social Work, I bring both linguistic expertise and a deep understanding of individual support needs. I also hold a Level 5 Advanced TEFL Diploma, have completed Safeguarding for Teachers and GDPR training, and regularly engage in continuous professional development, including accreditation from the British Council (UK).
Over the years, I’ve taught in eight international schools, worked as a private tutor in English Literature, Maths, and Geography, and supported many students with special educational needs.
At Marinage, I now combine all these passions - offering flexible online lessons in academic subjects, private language classes, and beginner-friendly programming support. I also run an English programme for Spanish-speaking migrants in Trinidad & Tobago through low-cost TEFL classes, helping break language barriers and build community.
Whether you're preparing for exams, switching careers, or just starting something new - I believe everyone deserves access to high-quality, supportive education that fits their real life.
A personal promise 🤝
At Marinage, you'll never be alone on your journey.
We'll accompany and guide you through each step.
