Building language access and opportunity with Spanish-speaking migrants in Trinidad and Tobago
At Marinage, our work grows from everyday interactions with students, families and workers who are building new lives here. We believe English support should never be a barrier to work, education or dignity, so our programmes are designed to remain affordable, accessible, and community-centred.
Regular English lessons tailored for migrants of all education levels
Practical language support for work, school and daily life
Digital literacy and administrative help (forms, CVs, job searches, school applications)
Free support for individuals facing urgent barriers (limited income, disabilities, complex paperwork)
Every week, a number of students are offered free or partially supported classes, prioritising:
individuals with limited income
families placing students in school
people needing language for work access
persons with disabilities or vulnerable circumstances
Our general classes remain priced to be genuinely accessible for migrants, not market-driven. Education should be a bridge, not another border.
Students gaining confidence in work interviews and workplace communication
Children better equipped for school life in English-speaking classrooms
Families able to access services with support
Adults navigating public systems without fear or confusion
Together, we are building language confidence that opens doors.
